Gasgoo Munich-Zeng Qinglin, brand general manager of EPICLAND, has taken to Weibo to address a surge of customers demanding their cars. He said the team is accelerating deliveries across the supply chain but won't cut corners on quality. "I'd rather have you wait a few extra days — and compensate you with penalty points — than hand over a vehicle that isn't fully ready."

Co-developed natively by Dongfeng and Huawei Qiankun, the EPICLAND X9 is a second-generation family flagship that has been turning heads in the 300,000-yuan large six-seat SUV segment since its September 24 launch. Gasgoo reports that firm orders topped 9,157 units within 24 hours of launch, while pre-orders had already surpassed 20,000 units during the presale phase. As orders climb, the top question across user forums is simple: when will the car arrive?
On Weibo, Zeng admitted that recent direct messages, comments, and screenshots forwarded from showrooms are almost entirely delivery pleas. "Being pressed like this isn't easy," he said, offering a sincere apology for the wait. Yet he said he was moved by the weight of customer trust, and took the moment to share the latest delivery updates.
Production of optioned variants has begun and shipments will follow soon, he noted. Their delivery cycles are longer partly due to parts sourcing, and partly because the brand enforces strict quality gates — any new option must clear full production and quality validation before volume manufacturing begins. Those validations are now complete, and parts are in hand. Chairman Wang Junjun and Zeng now hold daily meetings with the production team to track shipments, resolving issues the same day they arise. With factory, logistics, and delivery teams working around the clock, daily shipment and delivery volumes are set to rise steadily.

Even as deliveries speed up, Zeng stressed that quality thresholds are non-negotiable. Every required validation and quality gate will be met — "not a single one will be skipped." As a flagship born from the Dongfeng-Huawei partnership, the EPICLAND X9 was built under a rigorous quality framework from the start. Huawei contributed to 23 whole-vehicle validation standards and methods, pushing several metrics into the industry's top tier. EPICLAND's Chengdu plant strictly adheres to Huawei's quality standards, with each vehicle undergoing multiple rounds of end-of-line testing.
From its co-creation model — spanning joint definition, development, and operations — to its candid delivery updates, and now its insistence that speed must yield to quality, EPICLAND is betting on long-termism to redefine how premium brands connect with buyers. The order book proves the market likes the product; the transparency and restraint during the wait prove the brand is built to last. In an industry racing to deliver faster, responding quickly to customers matters — but respecting quality matters more.
