Gasgoo Munich- Guangzhou Farasis Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Farasis Energy, has recently secured a power battery project designation from GAC Group. Under the agreement, Farasis will develop and supply the corresponding battery products, with deliveries slated to begin in the first half of 2027. This collaboration will leverage lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries based on Farasis's SPS (Super Pouch Solution) technology.

The SPS (Super Pouch Solution) represents a core technology for Farasis, integrating large-format pouch cells, system integration, manufacturing processes, and direct recycling. Featuring a module-free design, the solution achieves 85% volume utilization and is compatible with various chemistries, including ternary (NCM), lithium iron phosphate (LFP), and sodium-ion. According to the company, the system supports a range of over 1,000 kilometers on a single charge and can add 600 kilometers of range in just eight minutes. It has also passed rigorous thermal runaway tests, including a "ten-needle penetration" trial. Furthermore, the platform nature of SPS allows a single cell to fit multiple models on the same chassis, helping to shorten development cycles and reduce production costs.
Farasis Energy and GAC Group have maintained a long-standing partnership. This new designation marks an expansion of their existing collaboration, highlighting progress in the platform application of the SPS solution and signaling further adoption of Farasis's LFP products in the passenger vehicle market.
Looking ahead, Farasis Energy remains committed to continuously optimizing the performance and quality of its SPS solution to support the development of the new energy vehicle industry.
