Shanghai (Gasgoo)- According to the WeChat account "Jiaxing National High-Tech Zone," the zone has signed another agreement with Faurecia (China) Investment Co., Ltd., this time for an automotive seat-frame project.

As a leading global auto-parts supplier, Faurecia has built deep ties with the Jiaxing National High-Tech Zone. Back in 2021, Faurecia (Jiaxing) Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. was registered in the zone, focusing on the R&D and manufacturing of automotive seat frames and comfort systems (massage, lumbar support, ventilation) for Li Auto, Ford, Volkswagen and Nissan.
Over the years, the two sides have steadily expanded their cooperation, evolving from seat-frame and comfort-system projects into complete seats and exhaust systems. The core frame program has been a standout, with output value topping RMB 2 billion in both 2024 and 2025, becoming a solid pillar of the regional auto industry.
The newly signed seat-frame system project marks a step-up in the partnership. It will supply intelligent seat frames and smart seat health-and-comfort systems for multiple models from Leapmotor, Luxeed and Chery. Planned capacity can meet demand for seat frames on 2.879 million vehicles, with production coming online in phases from May 2026 through year-end. Over five years, the project is expected to add a cumulative RMB 3.21 billion in output value.
Leveraging the project, Faurecia will ramp up R&D and drive a strategic upgrade of its Jiaxing operation — shifting from a single manufacturing site to an integrated base combining R&D, manufacturing and sales — deepening its footprint in the Yangtze River Delta. The Jiaxing National High-Tech Zone will provide full life-cycle services to ensure smooth execution. The partnership further refines the region's high-end auto-parts supply chain, giving Faurecia capacity and technical backing to expand in China's new-energy vehicle (NEV) supply market, while injecting momentum into the local industrial cluster's upgrade.
