Gasgoo Munich - FAW Bestune and Unity China have officially inked a strategic partnership at the 2026 FAW Bestune Global Ecosystem Partner Conference, pushing their collaboration into a new phase. Far from a sudden move, the agreement builds on deepening innovation that began back in 2025, when the two established a "Metaverse Joint Lab." That initiative focused on real-time 3D rendering and AIGC technology, laying the technical groundwork for the smart cockpit.

Unveiled at the event was the first mass-production model fully powered by Unity's Tuanjie Engine: the Bestune Yueyi 08. Its smart cockpit system spans core scenarios including the 3D Launcher, vehicle control interfaces, and lane-level intelligent driving visualization — achieving a full closed loop from technical pre-research to mass production.
While traditional in-car interfaces are largely two-dimensional, the Tuanjie Engine's real-time 3D rendering capabilities allow vehicle status, navigation, and intelligent driving data to be presented stereoscopically. This not only makes interaction more intuitive but also enhances driving safety. It underscores a broader trend: real-time 3D technology is becoming a critical battleground in the race for smarter vehicles.
Xiao Beibei, vice president of Unity China, noted that the partnership will leverage the Tuanjie Engine's rendering power combined with Bestune's manufacturing prowess to deliver a smarter, more stable, and safer mobility experience. Yang Xinglong, deputy general manager of FAW Bestune, added that the Yueyi 08 is more than just a new model; it lays a crucial foundation for the intelligence of future vehicles.
Moving from the joint lab to the production line, the two parties have entered a deep phase of collaboration defined by "full mass production and continuous innovation." Looking ahead, FAW Bestune and Unity China will continue to explore the integration of real-time 3D technology with mobility scenarios, jointly driving the automotive industry toward a smarter, more personalized future.
