China FAW announced its total vehicle sales were 577,000 units from January to May this year, with an increase of 22.6%, which accounts for 41.5% of this year's sales target.
By the end of May, the FAW total vehicle sales reached 441,000 units, up 23.9%; Heavy truck sales totaled 76,000 units, an increase of 51.7%. Heavy truck market share remained at 24%.
FAW Group vehicle sales were 116,000 units in May, an increase of 21.0%, sedans sold 86,900 units, up 17.7%; Heavy truck sales were 16,900 units, an increase of 70.2%. It is the third consecutive month to break the single month sales record with 40,000 units to remain as monthly sedan sales champion for FAW-Volkswagen in May.
