FAW Hongqi 2025 sales reach 460,063 vehicles, up 11.7% year on year

According to the latest sales data, FAW Hongqi recorded full-year 2025 sales of 460,063 vehicles, up 11.7% year on year — its eighth straight year of growth. New-energy products stood out, with cumulative sales reaching 149,000, a 29.8% increase, now the brand’s main growth engine. In the ultra-luxury segment, the Hongqi Golden Sunflower series delivered 1,404 units.

The brand architecture underwent a major reset in 2025, establishing a system with "Hongqi" as the parent and three sub-brands — "Hongqi", "Hongqi Tiangong" and "Hongqi Golden Sunflower" — developing in tandem. The Hongqi sub-brand focuses on hybrid technology, launching the Hongqi H5 PHEV and HS6 PHEV; the HS6 PHEV drew attention with a tested range of 2,327 km. Hongqi Tiangong concentrates on new energy, with Tiangong 05 and Tiangong 06 completing "parking-spot-to-parking-spot" full-scenario validation of navigation assist, and adopting a 900 V high-voltage platform. The Golden Sunflower sub-brand, through bespoke models such as the state-gift edition "Lanting Elegance", targets an Oriental luxury experience.

On R&D, Hongqi made several breakthroughs in 2025. Solid-state cells completed 66 Ah sample trials; the 5 nm automotive-grade chip "Hongqi 1" was introduced; and a fully active intelligent chassis improved ride smoothness. The brand has built three technology platforms — Tiangong BEV, Honghu Hybrid and Jiuzhang Intelligence — to support product iteration. In intelligent driving, the Sinan 1000 combined driver-assistance system reached L3 capability, and the electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft prototype "Tian Nian 1" completed its maiden flight in December.

On the marketing side, Hongqi fully implemented the IPMS product operations management model, deploying differentiated strategies for distinct user groups. Through refreshed booth design, fan carnival events and the "Trend Mod" initiative, the brand strengthened engagement with younger consumers. In terms of brand influence, Hongqi's brand value stood at CNY 141.065 billion, topping the passenger-car category in the "China 500 Most Valuable Brands" ranking, and it was selected as a typical case under the "People's Craftsman Brand".

With the SIGHT (Insight) 531 technology development strategy advancing, Hongqi plans to tackle 558 key technologies over the next five years, reinforcing its focus on safety, intelligence and green development.
