Gasgoo Munich- FAW-Volkswagen opened pre-sales for its new Tayron L PHEV on June 8, with prices ranging from 174,900 yuan to 186,900 yuan. The model is offered in two trim levels: PRO and PRIME.

Visually, the Tayron L PHEV offers two distinct styling options. Up front, it features IQ.Light headlights paired with a continuous light bar. The intelligent lighting system incorporates LED matrix units that support adaptive high and low beams.
The vehicle measures 4,695mm long, 1,866mm wide, and 1,678mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,791mm. Inside, buyers can choose between five- and seven-seat configurations. The cabin features a 15-inch central touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital cluster, while front seats offer heating, ventilation, and massage.
On the technology front, the Tayron L PHEV is equipped with the "Xingyun" intelligent driving system, supporting highway NOA navigation assist. It also debuts a class-leading memory parking feature that spans multiple floors, capable of learning, storing, and replaying up to 15 fixed routes stretching 2 km. Additional features include 100-meter trail reversing and remote parking.
Under the hood, the model utilizes FAW-Volkswagen's "Golden Super Hybrid" technology, combining an EA211 hybrid-specific engine with a TQ251 hybrid transmission. The engine delivers a maximum output of 95kW, while the electric motor peaks at 145kW, paired with a 22kWh battery pack.
Official figures indicate a pure electric range of over 140 km under CLTC conditions and a total range exceeding 1,400 km. The system supports 50kW DC fast charging. Additionally, the vehicle offers a 3.5kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) discharge function, catering to family travel needs.
The Tayron L PHEV is expected to launch in the second quarter.
