Shanghai, June 11 (Gasgoo.com) Italian luxury carmaker Ferrari, through the Ferrari Maserati Cars International Trading (Shanghai) Co, announced that it will recall 27 of its 612 Scaglietti sedans sold in China.
Ferrari said the recalled 612 Scagliettis cars, built between the March 31, 2004 and October 8, 2007, are equipped with a faulty clutch sensor in the F1 sequential-shift transmission. The sensor could function wrongly as a result of the tremendous heat the 612's inner workings produce, causing the clutch assembly to have difficulty selecting gears.
Ferrari has already issued a recall notice globally for 366 of its 612 Scagliettis built between the 2005-2007 model years.
