FF Partners with AIBOT to Accelerate "Built in USA" Strategy

Gasgoo Munich- According to Gasgoo Embodied Intelligence, FF recently announced a partnership with AIBOT. AIBOT will provide FF AI-Robotics with consulting services on FCC, ICTS, and NDAA compliance, as well as manufacturing. This collaboration offers critical support for product compliance, supply chain scaling, and the realization of the "Built in USA" objective.

Headquartered in California, AIBOT is an advanced air mobility company focused on developing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and proprietary autonomous flight control software.

In FF's view, the FCC's recent robotics policy is poised to boost market demand for compliant, deliverable products and accelerate the U.S. robotics sector. The company expects its "full-form FF EAI robot world" products in the U.S. market—underpinned by its "four-core full-intelligence" ecosystem strategy—to benefit from these new regulations.

Previously, the FCC announced in late July that it had formally added "foreign-produced advanced robot equipment" and "foreign-produced power inverters" to its covered list. This decision marks a shift, officially categorizing embodied intelligence and distributed new energy power systems as core areas for critical technology supply chain security control.

FF is currently actively participating in the FCC's public comment process. As the first U.S. company to deliver both humanoid and bionic EAI robots, it is offering industry insights and recommendations on the relevant policies.

Meanwhile, FF is accelerating its "Built in USA" strategy. The plan involves a phased build-out of R&D, production, and supply chain capabilities for EAI bodies and key components within the U.S. The goal is to become a leading EAI robotics platform company in the U.S. and drive the long-term development of the domestic industry.

Specifically, the strategy will unfold in three phases:

Phase 1: By the end of July this year, FF had preliminarily established three core capabilities: the EAI brain, an industry productivity solution and developer platform, and an EAI data factory. These efforts lay the technical foundation for the continued development of EAI bodies.

On the manufacturing front, FF has initiated its U.S. localization efforts, including evaluating renovation plans for its Hanford facility and potential new plant sites.

Phase 2: Spanning from this August through the first quarter of 2027, FF plans to accelerate "Assembled in USA" status for EAI bodies and FCC-compliant components. The company targets putting its robot factory into operation by the end of this year, with the first new EAI body rolling off the assembly line in February 2027.

Phase 3: By the fourth quarter of 2028, FF aims to achieve "Made in USA" status for EAI bodies, FCC-compliant components, and a batch of key parts expected to drive significant industrial progress.

However, FF noted that this roadmap and timeline are subject to future adjustments based on FCC policies, applicable laws and regulations, and actual execution progress.
