Shanghai. August 30 (Gasgoo.com) – Foton Motors and Cummins have agreed to start a light diesels engine production plant in Beijing later this year, a Foton company official told Chinese media.
Under the agreement, the new joint venture will concentrate on developing high efficient light diesel engines that could meet the Europe IV standards or higher.
Cummins, the world's largest engine manufacturer, will help Foton to improve its overall competitiveness and help the Chinese automaker to enter the European and U.S. markets.
