Gasgoo Munich- On Sept. 2, GAC Trumpchi officially launched pre-sales for its first rugged plug-in hybrid SUV, the Yue 7. The lineup includes four variants with an official presale price range of 179,800 to 225,800 yuan, though early-bird offers lower the price to 171,800–217,800 yuan.
As Trumpchi's first model in the rugged off-road segment, the Yue 7 is positioned as a mid-to-large SUV with a boxy design. The front features a closed grille and an active intake, highlighted by a central "GAC" badge. It measures 5,045 mm long, 2,004 mm wide, and 1,933 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm.
The vehicle has a 30-degree approach angle and a 33-degree departure angle, with ground clearance ranging from 230 mm to 310 mm. The rear is equipped with a side-opening tailgate and vertical taillights, alongside modular external storage options and 37 factory-installed expansion points.

Inside, the cabin is dominated by a 1.1-meter-wide "Interstellar Screen." It uses the industry-first Qualcomm 8838 chip and a 15.6-inch high-definition central display, powered by the ADiGO 7.0 smart cockpit system. Features include smartphone connectivity, voice control, facial recognition, and remote access. The five-seat layout offers second-row backrests that recline up to 127 degrees.
Amenities include a heated steering wheel, a smart refrigerator, and seats with heating, ventilation, massage, and memory functions. The top-tier Ultra trim adds a 192-line lidar, enabling city and highway navigation on autopilot, remote parking, and memory parking.
Under the hood, a 1.5T engine pairs with an electric motor in a plug-in hybrid setup, with the engine delivering 125 kW. Buyers can choose between single-motor (205 kW) and dual-motor (425 kW) configurations. The four-wheel-drive version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.
The chassis features closed dual-chamber air suspension and SDC continuous variable damping, supporting active suspension preview. The body combines unibody construction with an embedded frame. Four-wheel-drive models come equipped with a rear mechanical differential lock, an electronic center lock, and a "9+X" intelligent all-terrain mode.
