Gasgoo Munich- After MagicLab, another embodied intelligence player is set to take the stage at the 2026 CCTV Spring Festival Gala.

On January 25, China Media Group (CMG) officially named GALBOT the "Designated Embodied Large Model Robot" for the event. The move signals a shift in the Gala's tech narrative: moving beyond flashy demonstrations to showcase the nation's core technological prowess in frontier industries.

Unlike some robots focused on athletic performance or companionship, GALBOT pioneered a training pipeline that prioritizes synthetic simulation data, supplemented by real-world collection, blending the virtual and the physical. The company has built a dataset spanning 10 billion tasks. Its proprietary end-to-end embodied large models—including GraspVLA, GroceryVLA, and NavFoM—cover manipulation, navigation, and application. These models enable true "autonomous operation," demonstrating strong generalization, independent decision-making, and resilience against interference in real-world deployments.

This technical path—driven by a "smart brain" focused on practical application—has already been validated through large-scale deployments in retail, industry, and healthcare. Milestones include autonomous retail stores operated by hundreds of robots and orders for thousands of units from international industrial giants.

That brings the count to two humanoid robotics firms confirmed for the 2026 Gala: MagicLab and GALBOT. On January 23, CMG and MagicLab jointly announced that the company had officially been named the "Strategic Partner for Intelligent Robots" at the 2026 Spring Festival Gala.

The high-profile coupling of two robotics firms with the Gala carries significance far beyond a single holiday appearance.

For an embodied intelligence sector still in the early stages of commercialization, the Gala—the world's most-watched stage—has become a strategic high ground for capturing public attention and elevating brand stature. This is more than a technology showcase; it is a rehearsal for the battle over discourse in the future robotics industry. The "first impression" these companies project to a national audience—whether as a "warm companion" or an "efficient tool"—will profoundly shape their subsequent commercialization paths and valuation logic in capital markets.
