AUDI Innovation & Technology Center Established in Shanghai

The Audi-SAIC joint venture will develop four new AUDI models, with the first due in 2028

·The AUDI Innovation & Technology Center (AITC) was officially established in Shanghai on September 3.

·Jointly created by Audi AG and SAIC Motor, AITC is a vehicle R&D entity dedicated to the AUDI brand, with full-vehicle development and end-to-end capabilities.

·The center will focus on intelligent electric technologies and vehicle development for software-defined and AI-defined vehicles.

·Key development areas include vehicle performance and driving dynamics, immersive AI-powered cockpits and next-generation advanced driver-assistance systems tailored to Chinese premium-vehicle customers.

·Audi and SAIC will jointly develop four new AUDI models based on the Advanced Digitized Platform 2.0, or ADP 2.0. The first model is scheduled to debut in 2028.

New-Gen Li Auto MEGA Goes on Sale

The flagship MPV is priced at RMB 509,800 and features four LiDAR sensors and 2,560 TOPS of computing power

·Li Auto launched the new-generation MEGA flagship MPV on September 2.

·The vehicle is offered exclusively in the Home trim at a nationwide retail price of RMB 509,800. Orders opened immediately, with deliveries scheduled to begin within the week.

·Its ADAS system includes four LiDAR sensors, two in-house-developed M100 chips delivering a combined 2,560 TOPS, and Li Auto's latest MACH VLA driver model.  

·The front cabin features a 29-inch 6K panoramic OLED display that supports shared viewing and independent split-screen operation.

·All seats in the first and second rows offer zero-gravity functionality, while the second-row seats can rotate to support multiple cabin configurations.

·Chassis technologies include dual-chamber air springs, dual-valve continuous damping control, an 800V active anti-roll system, steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering.

Horizon Robotics' Journey Series SoC Production Surpasses 15 Million Sets

The company added five million units in 12 months as vehicle design wins reached 500

·Horizon Robotics announced on September 3 that cumulative production of its Journey series smart-driving SoCs had surpassed 15 million sets.

·It took the company five years to reach the first 10 million sets after beginning automotive mass production in 2020, but only 12 months to increase production from 10 million to 15 million sets.

·Journey SoC have served eight million vehicle owners and secured partnerships with more than 40 automobile brands.

·Horizon Robotics has accumulated 500 mass-production vehicle design wins, including nearly 130 in the mid- and high-level intelligent-driving segment.

·The company's outstanding design wins exceed 20 million units, providing a pipeline for further production growth.

·The milestone was supported by more than 200 ecosystem partners through Horizon Robotics' flexible, open cooperation model.
