On January 15, Beijing Benz announced that its cumulative vehicle production has exceeded 6 million units, marked by the rollout of a long-wheelbase Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV from the production line. This milestone follows the company's achievement in 2025, when cumulative engine production also surpassed 6 million units, representing another major“6-million”landmark in its manufacturing history.
Since the first E-Class rolled off the line in 2005, Beijing Benz has put 14 China-built models into production, including eight internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and six electric vehicles, covering both sedans and SUVs. With the joint efforts of its shareholders, the company has established a comprehensive manufacturing system spanning rear-wheel-drive, front-wheel-drive, electric vehicle, engine, and battery production, enabling multi-platform and multi-model flexible manufacturing. Beijing Benz has become a key production hub within Mercedes-Benz's global manufacturing network.
Looking ahead, the company plans to commence production of several new models within the year, including the all-new battery electric long-wheelbase GLC SUV.
