BYD Begins Deliveries of 2026 Seal 06 GT
BYD on April 3 launched deliveries of the 2026 Seal 06 GT at an event in Shenzhen. Positioned as a "first GT for young buyers," the model is equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery and the company's latest fast-charging technology. It is priced between RMB 128,900 and RMB 169,900.
The 2026 Seal 06 GT features upgrades across range, charging, driving dynamics, safety, and comfort. It offers a maximum all-electric range of up to 620 km. BYD claims the vehicle can gain a usable charge in five minutes and reach full charge in nine minutes, with charging time in -30°C conditions only about three minutes longer than under normal temperatures. The motor delivers a maximum output of 240 kW, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.5 seconds.
According to the company, the first batch of deliveries was completed within 13 hours of the model's launch.
NIO's New ES8 Achieves 90,000th Delivery
NIO has delivered the 90,000th unit of its all-new ES8 at the NIO Delivery Center in Xinqiao Industrial Park, Hefei. The model began deliveries on September 21, 2025, reaching this milestone in 195 days.
According to NIO, the all-new ES8 delivered 16,255 units in March 2026, maintaining steady performance. It has also ranked No.1 in sales among models priced above RMB 400,000 for three consecutive months.
The all-new ES8 electric SUV is offered with multiple purchase options. The full vehicle price ranges from RMB 406,800 to RMB 446,800, while the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option lowers the starting price to RMB 298,800.
GM China Sales Hit 350,000 in Q1 as NEV Shift Accelerates
General Motors and its joint ventures delivered nearly 350,000 vehicles in China in the first quarter of 2026, as newly launched products achieved solid performance.

Cadillac achieved solid results in the luxury market, led by XT5's 29 percent year-over-year growth and CT5's consistent sales performance.
The all-new Wuling Xingguang 730 MPV and the brand's first rugged-styled SUV, the Xingguang 560, have been well received by customers since launch. Deliveries exceeded 19,000 units and 15,000 units, respectively.
