Changan Automobile Secures L4 Robotaxi Testing Permit
Changan Automobile has been granted a Level 4 (L4) robotaxi testing permit following unanimous approval by six government departments in the Yongchuan Intelligent Connected Vehicle Pilot Zone in Chongqing.
The approval makes Changan one of the automakers qualified for fully compliant, full-scenario real-world testing of L4 autonomous driving.
The approved L4 robotaxi is not a standalone new model. Instead, it is built on Changan's Tianshu end-to-end foundation model and shares core technologies with its mass-produced L2 and L3 vehicles, enabling a high degree of reuse in underlying algorithms.
SERES Group Reports Record Revenue in 2025
SERES Group posted record revenue of RMB 164.89 billion in 2025, up 13.63% year-on-year, according to its annual results.
Growth was primarily driven by higher new energy vehicle (NEV) sales, which reached 472,269 units, marking a 10.63% increase from a year earlier.
On profitability, net profit attributable to shareholders came in at RMB 5.96 billion, up 0.18% year-on-year, extending profitability to a second consecutive year. Gross profit rose 28.29% year-on-year, with gross margin improving by nearly 3 percentage points to 26.88%.
Joyson Electronics Secures RMB 97 Billion in New Orders in 2025
Joyson Electronics reported steady growth across key metrics in 2025, with newly secured global orders reaching a record high, according to its annual results released on March 30.
The company posted revenue of approximately RMB 61.2 billion, up 9.5% year-on-year, while net profit attributable to shareholders rose 39% to about RMB 1.34 billion, marking strong growth in both revenue and earnings. Gross margin improved to 18.3%, up 2.1 percentage points from a year earlier and the highest level in nearly five years, reflecting continued gains in profitability.
In terms of orders, Joyson Electronics secured around RMB 97 billion in new global full-lifecycle orders in 2025, a record high and a significant increase from previous years. Of this total, automotive electronics accounted for roughly RMB 46.1 billion.
