FANGCHENGBAO marks third anniversary with cumulative sales surpassing 500,000 units
BYD's personalized new energy vehicle (NEV) brand FANGCHENGBAO celebrated its third anniversary on August 5, announcing that its cumulative sales had officially exceeded 500,000 vehicles. The milestone comes roughly three years after the brand launched its first model, highlighting its rapid growth in China's NEV market.
FANGCHENGBAO unveiled its brand logo in July 2023 and launched its first model, the BAO 5, in August of the same year. Built on BYD's Dual Mode Off-road (DMO) platform, the BAO 5 is positioned as a plug-in hybrid hard-core SUV. The brand has since developed the BAO, TAI, and FANGCHENG S product families, integrating technologies including the DMO platform, DiSus body-control system, and Huawei intelligent driving solutions. In July, FANGCHENGBAO sold 41,213 vehicles, up 190.6% year-on-year and 15.7% month-on-month. Its cumulative sales reached 497,424 vehicles by the end of July before surpassing the 500,000-unit milestone in early August, with an average transaction price exceeding RMB223,000.
CaoCao Inc. and Dazhong Transportation establish strategic partnership for Robotaxi operations
CaoCao Inc. and Dazhong Transportation signed a strategic cooperation agreement on August 3 to jointly explore Robotaxi services in Shanghai and the wider Yangtze River Delta region. The partnership aims to combine CaoCao's intelligent driving technology and operational capabilities with Dazhong Transportation's urban transportation resources and local service experience to develop new Robotaxi operation models.
The cooperation will be carried out in phases, starting with Robotaxi demonstration operations covering regulatory approvals, vehicle operation management, platform integration, ground support, and safety services. After regulations and operating conditions mature, the two companies plan to expand toward larger-scale Robotaxi fleet operations. Under the agreement, CaoCao will lead the Robotaxi full-stack technology solution, while Dazhong Transportation will provide transportation operation capabilities and local service support. CaoCao currently operates more than 100 Robotaxis in Hangzhou and became the city's first smart passenger vehicle company approved in April 2026 to conduct intelligent connected vehicle road tests without a safety operator onboard.
AI²Robotics considers Hong Kong IPO as early as 2027
AI²Robotics an embodied intelligence robotics company, is considering a Hong Kong IPO and has begun preparations with advisory teams, with the listing potentially starting as early as 2027. Founded in April 2023, the company focuses on the development, production, and services of productivity-oriented general-purpose intelligent robots.
AI²Robotics has adopted an end-to-end large model technology approach since its establishment and independently developed Alpha Brain, a full-domain whole-body embodied intelligence foundation model, based on which it developed the AlphaBot robot series. The company has achieved commercial deployments in multiple fields, including a three-year, 1,000-unit benchmark cooperation with HKC in the semiconductor display sector. In 2026, it further achieved multi-customer repeat orders in the same application scenario. In the new retail sector, its modular embodied intelligence service space "Zhi Magic Cube" has been operating in cities including Beijing and Shenzhen since its launch at the end of 2025, with plans to deploy 1,000 units over the next three years. At WAIC 2026, AI²Robotics showcased AlphaBot 2 equipped with NeuroVLA, which it described as the world's first original brain-inspired large model, and demonstrated PCB loading and unloading solutions for industrial manufacturing applications.
