Honda, GAC extend joint venture partnership through 2038

Honda and GAC Group have signed a strategic agreement to extend the term of their 50:50 joint venture, GAC Honda, through 2038.

The renewed partnership reinforces cooperation in key areas including product planning, technology development, and supply chain integration, as both companies accelerate GAC Honda's transition toward electrification and strengthen its long-term competitiveness in China's NEV market.

Established in July 1998 as Honda's first vehicle manufacturing joint venture in China, GAC Honda has been a pioneer in introducing globally synchronized models, innovative sales and service practices, and green manufacturing. To date, the company has sold more than 11 million vehicles, offering a lineup that spans sedans, SUVs, MPVs, and new energy vehicles.

BYD's Brazil plant rolls out 100,000th vehicle

BYD's Camaçari plant in Brazil has reached two major milestones: the production of its 100,000th new energy vehicle, a BYD Dolphin Mini (Seagull) , and a workforce exceeding 5,500 employees.

The factory, which officially began operations in July 2025, represents an investment of approximately BRL 5.5 billion. Built on a 4.68-million-square-meter site, the facility is designed with an initial annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, with long-term plans to expand to 600,000 units. It also features a local Blade Battery assembly line.

Constructed in just 15 months, the plant is now accelerating local supply chain development, targeting a 50% local sourcing rate by early 2027.

Fangchengbao Ti 7 surpasses 200,000 cumulative sales

BYD's Fangchengbao brand announced that cumulative sales of the Ti 7 have exceeded 200,000 units, making it the fastest boxy SUV to reach the milestone.

Launched on September 9, 2025, the Ti 7 debuted with four variants priced between RMB 179,800 and RMB 219,800. The model surpassed 50,000 deliveries within just 80 days of its market launch.

In April this year, Fangchengbao introduced the Ti 7 EV Flash Charging Edition, offering two rear-wheel-drive variants with CLTC ranges of 675 km and 755 km, priced at RMB 199,800 and RMB 209,800, respectively. Across the lineup, buyers can also opt for the God's Eye B intelligent driving assistance system for an additional RMB 12,000.
