Leapmotor Launches D99, Enters Premium MPV Market

Leapmotor pulled forward the launch of its first MPV on the flagship D platform, the D99, on June 25. The new model debuts with six configurations: the extended-range version is priced between 249,800 and 309,800 yuan, while the pure electric version ranges from 259,800 to 319,800 yuan. Buyers can enjoy limited-time launch benefits worth up to 61,279 yuan, along with four lifetime warranty guarantees. Deliveries are set to begin on July 20.

This marks Leapmotor's entry into the MPV segment and represents the second model in its D-series, following the flagship D19 SUV. The D99 completes the automaker's puzzle in the high-end MPV market, establishing a "Flagship SUV + Flagship MPV" dual-matrix structure. It signals that Leapmotor has formally finalized its full-price-range layout, covering everything from the mass market to luxury flagships.

NIO ES9 Deliveries Exceed 10,000 Units in 30 Days

NIO delivered the 10,000th ES9 on June 26. Founder, Chairman, and CEO William Li personally handed over the keys to the milestone owner — Li Ningchuan, Founder, Chairman, and General Manager of Zhejiang EV-Tech Co., Ltd.

Starting deliveries on May 28, the ES9 reached the 10,000-unit milestone in just 30 days, setting a new speed record for high-end pure electric SUVs in the 500,000-yuan class. The feat signals a shift as premium full-size SUVs enter the electric age.

The ES9 officially launched on the evening of May 27 with a starting price of 498,000 yuan. With the Battery as a Service (BaaS) leasing option, the entry price drops to 390,000 yuan.

CATL Launches Online Mall, Selling Energy Storage Cells

On June 26, CATL officially launched its direct sales platform, the "CATL Mall," specifically targeting small and medium-sized energy storage integrators with fragmented or small-batch procurement needs.

Currently, the platform lists three mainstream energy storage cell products: 100Ah, 280Ah(1P), and 314Ah specifications. With a minimum order of just three boxes, it significantly lowers the procurement threshold for smaller clients, breaking the traditional model where top-tier cell manufacturers prioritized large-volume locked orders and big clients in production scheduling.

While the launch of this online store may seem like a minor channel adjustment, it is actually a strategic move by CATL to fill gaps in the changing energy storage market structure. It aims to capture scattered orders and consolidate fragmented demand, while also triggering ripple effects across the storage cell distribution system and the survival landscape for smaller industry players.
