Leapmotor Posts First Annual Profit in 2025

On March 16, Leapmotor released its full-year 2025 financial results.

The company delivered 596,555 vehicles over the year, doubling sales for a second consecutive year and ranking first among China's NEV startups.

Net profit reached RMB 540 million, marking its first full-year profitability, making it the second Chinese EV startup after Li Auto to achieve this milestone.

Revenue totaled RMB 64.73 billion, up 101.3% year-on-year.

Gross margin rose to 14.4%, a record high for the company.

As of the end of 2025, Leapmotor held RMB 37.88 billion in cash, while maintaining positive operating and free cash flow.

ZEEKR 8X Tops 10,000 Orders in 38 Minutes as Pre-Sales Open

On March 16, ZEEKR officially opened pre-sales for its new SUV, the ZEEKR 8X.

Two lineups are offered: ZEEKR 8X and ZEEKR 8X Yaoying Edition. ZEEKR 8X comes in Max, Ultra, and Ultra+ trims, priced at RMB 376,800–446,800 (pre-sale). Yaoying Edition starts from RMB 516,800. The company reported that orders exceeded 10,000 units within just 38 minutes of launch.

Built on Geely's SEA-S super electric hybrid architecture, the vehicle features a 900-volt high-voltage system architecture.

For intelligent features, the Zeekr 8X is the first to be equipped with the new-generation G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) advanced driver assistance system.

In terms of range, the vehicle is powered by a 70-kWh battery pack, offering a pure electric range of up to 410 kilometers under CLTC conditions. With a full tank and full charge, its comprehensive range reaches 1,416 kilometers.

Hesai expands LiDAR partnership with Neolix to power next-generation autonomous delivery vehicles

On March 16, LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced an expanded strategic partnership with autonomous delivery vehicle developer Neolix. Under the agreement, Hesai will remain the primary LiDAR supplier for Neolix's next-generation Level 4 autonomous urban delivery vehicles, commonly known as RoboVans.

The collaboration will see multiple Neolix vehicle models equipped with automotive-grade LiDAR systems, including Hesai's long-range ATX sensor and the FTX blind-spot detection LiDAR. These systems will be deployed across Neolix's mass-produced driverless delivery fleets. The strengthened partnership highlights both companies' efforts to accelerate the commercial rollout of autonomous logistics vehicles capable of operating reliably in complex urban environments.
