Li Auto launches $1 billion share buyback program
Li Auto announced recently that its board has approved a share repurchase program of up to $1 billion, valid through March 31, 2027. The announcement boosted investor confidence, sending its U.S.-listed shares sharply higher in pre-market trading and rising over 5% intraday.
Its Hong Kong-listed shares also gained 3.3% the following day, reaching HKD 69.8 per share on March 24. The company noted that the authorization was originally approved at its 2025 annual general meeting. Chairman and CEO Li Xiang stated that the buyback reflects strong confidence in the company's strategic roadmap and long-term value creation.
RoboSense achieves first quarterly profit, robotics business surges
On March 25, Chinese LiDAR maker RoboSense reported its 2025 fourth-quarter and full-year results, marking its first-ever quarterly profit. The company recorded revenue of RMB 751 million, operating profit of RMB 130 million, and net profit of RMB 104 million for the fourth quarter in 2025.
Its robotics LiDAR segment saw explosive growth, with sales reaching approximately 221,200 units (+2565.1% YoY), contributing RMB 347 million and accounting for 49% of product revenue. For the full year, RoboSense generated RMB 1.94 billion in revenue with a gross margin of 26.5%. Robotics LiDAR shipments totaled about 303,000 units (+1141.8% YoY), with leading positions across multiple segments including lawn-mowing robots, delivery robots, humanoid robots, embodied AI, and commercial cleaning robots.
Chery launches pre-sale of Fengyun T9L SUV starting at RMB 139,900
On March 25, Chery officially opened pre-orders for the Fengyun T9L, a mid-size five-seat SUV, at an event in Wuhu. The model is offered in four variants with a price range of RMB 139,900 to RMB 169,900.
The vehicle measures 4,870 mm in length with a 2,920 mm wheelbase. It is powered by Chery's in-house Kunpeng CDM 6.0 hybrid system, featuring a 1.5T engine with 45.79% thermal efficiency and a DHT260 transmission. The system delivers up to 550 kW of combined power, enabling 0-100 km/h acceleration in around 5 seconds for the AWD version. It offers a fuel consumption of as low as 3.9L/100 km (CLTC), a total range exceeding 2,000 km, and a pure electric range of up to 230 km.
