Welcome to Gasgoo Daily, your quick update on the latest developments in China's automotive industry.

Today, we look at three stories involving NIO, Leapmotor, and commercial EV technology company U Power.

First, NIO has officially begun nationwide deliveries of the five-seat version of its ES8 flagship all-electric SUV.

The ES8 reached a cumulative delivery milestone of 120,000 units within 275 days after deliveries of the latest-generation model began on September 21, 2025.

According to NIO, the ES8 has ranked first for six consecutive months in both China's large SUV segment and the market for vehicles priced at around 400,000 yuan. It also led both categories in retail sales during the first half of 2026.

With five-, six-, and seven-seat configurations now available, the ES8 offers a broader range of seating options for customers in the premium large-SUV market.

Next, Leapmotor has unveiled the A05s, the first sedan in its A-series lineup.

Positioned as a compact, intelligent electric sedan, the A05s features a rounded exterior design, details inspired by vinyl records, and a distinctive pink-and-black two-tone body finish.

Leapmotor also plans to introduce advanced intelligent-driving hardware into the entry-level electric sedan segment. Some versions may be equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR unit and an advanced driver-assistance system, giving the model the potential to support urban navigation-assisted driving functions.

Separately, regulatory filings for the Leapmotor A05 list two motor options rated at 70 and 90 kilowatts. The model is paired with lithium iron phosphate battery packs offering CLTC ranges of 405 and 510 kilometers.

Finally, U Power and Yun Ze Technology have signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Shanghai.

Under the partnership, Yun Ze Technology will introduce U Power's Super VAN into its logistics fleet, with an initial order of 55 vehicles.

The two companies will cooperate on customized intelligent vehicles, operational data sharing, autonomous-driving pilot programs, and long-term fleet development.

By combining U Power's skateboard chassis and intelligent-vehicle technologies with Yun Ze Technology's urban delivery operations, the partners aim to develop an AI-powered model for smarter and greener logistics services.
