VOYAH unveils 2026 product roadmap with four new models
On January 28, Dongfeng Motor's premium NEV (new energy vehicle) brand VOYAH officially released its 2026 product roadmap, announcing plans to launch four all-new models. These include VOYAH Titan Ultra, China's first mass-produced L3-level autonomous SUV; the VOYAH Titan X8, a “courtyard-level” large five-seat SUV; a new FUV codenamed “FE”; and a premium MPV codenamed “Everest”, positioned as the industry’s strongest MPV in the CNY 500,000 segment.
The Titan X8 is scheduled to debut in the first half of 2026 and will feature the same four-lidar setup used in the AITO M9, Huawei's next-generation intelligent cockpit, and an exceptionally spacious interior—underscoring VOYAH's push into high-end intelligent vehicles.
The“Everest”MPV is expected to launch in the second half of 2026 and will serve as a flagship showcase of VOYAH's core technologies.
CATL signs agreement for Yunnan battery base, construction to start in Q1 2026
CATL continues to accelerate capacity expansion as multiple battery projects progress both domestically and overseas. On January 27, CATL signed a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement with the Kunming Municipal Government and the Dianzhong New Area Administrative Committee.
The partnership will focus on four key areas: power batteries, green energy, green transportation, and the low-altitude economy. As part of the agreement, CATL plans to build a green, intelligent lithium battery manufacturing base in Dianzhong New Area, with construction expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026.
NIO's cumulative battery swap count surpasses 99 million
NIO founder, chairman, and CEO William Li revealed on January 28 that the company's cumulative battery swap count has exceeded 99 million, according to its real-time Power Map data.
As of January 27, NIO Energy operates a total of 8,596 charging and battery swap stations, including 3,708 battery swap stations—1,017 of which are located along highways—and 4,887 charging stations. Cumulative battery swaps reached 99,063,908, while cumulative charging sessions exceeded 80.2 million.
At NIO's recent ceremony marking the rollout of its one-millionth mass-produced vehicle, Li reiterated the company's long-term strategy: sustained investment in its full-stack capabilities, expansion of infrastructure to more than 10,000 charging and swap stations each by 2030, deeper synergy across its three brands, annual growth of 40–50%, and steady global expansion alongside a strong focus on the Chinese market.
