Interface News: Zotye Auto has dismissed rumors that it will manufacture Tesla’s Cybercab. Responding to investors on Feb. 11 who asked about a reported partnership with investment firm BBK to assemble the vehicle, Zotye stated on an interactive platform that it currently has no such plans.
Gasgoo: Faraday Future (FF) announced on Feb. 11 that it has signed a series of upgrade agreements with bridge strategy partner Hebei Universal Automotive Sales Co. to advance the FX Super One EV in the U.S. market. Seven agreements were signed, covering critical areas such as production parts procurement, engineering services, and IP licensing. These terms define the scope of engineering support, IP ownership, and after-sales systems, with the bridge partner providing technical backing through the production phase and beyond.

Industrial Economy
Caixin: China’s auto sector held steady in January 2026, according to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) on Feb. 11. Production and sales came in at 2.45 million and 2.346 million units respectively. Production was essentially flat year-on-year, edging up 0.01%, while sales dipped 3.2%. The new energy vehicle (NEV) market remained resilient, with production and sales climbing 2.5% and 0.1% to 1.041 million and 945,000 units. Commercial vehicles continued their upward trend, posting double-digit growth. Exports also expanded, led by NEVs which surged 100% to 302,000 units.
Gasgoo: AGILINK has secured a new funding round worth hundreds of millions of yuan. A leading internet giant led the round, with participation from top-tier investors like BV Baidu Ventures and Yunfeng Capital. Industrial backers included Synstellation Capital, Joyson Electronics, Longcheer, and SAIC Financial Holding, while financial institutions such as C Capital, Wufu Capital, and Muha Sci-Tech Innovation also came on board. Existing investors BlueRun Ventures and Hillhouse Capital increased their stakes significantly.
Gasgoo: Embodied AI robotics startup Xinghaitu has closed a 1 billion yuan Series B funding round. Policy Situation
Caixin: Wang Fang, chief scientist at the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATC), revealed at a recent industry conference that the draft for the national standard "Solid-state batteries for electric vehicles Part 1: Terminology and classification" was completed in December 2025. The public consultation period runs through Feb. 28, 2026. CATC plans to conduct validation testing between January and February to refine test methods and metrics. The standard is expected to undergo review and approval in April 2026, with an official release slated for July. It will clarify definitions for liquid batteries, hybrid solid-liquid (semi-solid) batteries, and all-solid-state batteries.
