Gasgoo Munich- Geely Auto officially entered the Swiss market on September 21 local time, hosting a brand and product launch in Zurich. The event saw the simultaneous debut of three new energy models — the Geely E5, Geely E2, and STARRAY EM-i — covering both battery electric and plug-in hybrid technologies. This marks another step in Geely's global expansion into a core European market.

The three models target distinct segments: the Geely E5 is a battery electric compact SUV, the Geely E2 is a battery electric crossover, and the STARRAY EM-i is a plug-in hybrid mid-size SUV. According to Swiss automotive media outlet automobilrevue.ch, the Geely E5 will start at 29,990 Swiss francs in the Swiss market.
Geely previously signed a cooperation agreement with Swiss automotive importer and retailer Emil Frey, authorizing the group to serve as the official importer for Geely in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Emil Frey also acts as the local partner for Geely's ZEEKR and Farizon commercial vehicle brands. He Aiden, CEO of the Geely brand in Europe, has noted that Switzerland and Liechtenstein represent a natural extension of the company's European strategy.
Geely described the Swiss launch as a significant milestone in its globalization process. Under its roadmap, the company plans to gradually build out its sales and service network in Switzerland and further expand its product portfolio.
