The new energy vehicle sector remains a critical growth engine. In January, Geely Automobile sold 124,252 new energy vehicles (NEVs), up 3% from a year ago, lifting their share of total sales to 46%. That means nearly one in every two cars Geely sold was an NEV.
Performance varied across brands, highlighting a clear product matrix strategy. The high-end "China Star" series surged 86% month-on-month to 134,448 units, demonstrating that its internal combustion engine models still command strong market appeal. The "Geely Galaxy" brand sold 82,990 units, with the newly launched flagship MPV, the Galaxy V900, further enriching its lineup.
On the premium front, ZEEKR was a standout performer, delivering 23,852 units in January — a 99.7% year-on-year jump that nearly doubled its volume. Lynk & Co's NEV sales reached 17,410 units, accounting for 60% of its total, underscoring a firm commitment to its electrification shift.
Globalization strategies are yielding significant results. Overseas exports soared 121% year-on-year to 60,506 units in January, climbing 50% from December. At the recent CES 2026, Geely showcased flagship models and its latest AI tech across multiple brands. With models like the ZEEKR 7GT officially launching in 12 European countries, the group is signaling its resolve to accelerate global expansion.
Additionally, Geely and StepFun jointly open-sourced two multimodal large models focused on video generation and voice interaction, a move that highlights its ambition to deploy cutting-edge technology in intelligent connectivity.
Taken together, Geely Automobile made substantial progress in January across total sales, new energy transition, and overseas exports — laying a robust foundation for its development in 2026.
