Design and dimensions
The exterior features an illuminated Galaxy logo at the center of the front end, flanked by headlamp units. At the rear, the vehicle has a side-opening tailgate and an externally mounted spare tire. A substantial rear bumper and underbody protection panels complement its off-road design. Geely states that the SUV can ford water up to 800 mm deep.
Driver assistance
The driver-assistance system is supported by a sensor suite comprising a 192-line lidar, three millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars and two water-wading radars. Supported functions include highway and urban Navigation on Autopilot (NOA), door-to-door parking-space navigation assistance, and assisted parking across multiple scenarios.
Interior, comfort and connectivity
The cabin combines a technology-focused layout with physical controls associated with off-road vehicles. It features the Flyme Auto 2 smart cockpit system, a large floating central touchscreen and the Super Eva intelligent assistant.
Physical buttons remain below the central display, alongside a conventional gear selector and a rotary drive-mode control. Other equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, a physical sunshade, a 23-speaker Flyme Sound system and an 18.5-liter dual-opening refrigerator with heating and cooling functions. All seats support ventilation and heating, while the front seats offer 14-point cushion and backrest massage.
Powertrain, range and charging
The Galaxy ZJ700 uses Geely's new EM-T off-road hybrid system, which pairs a dedicated 2.0TD hybrid engine with an electric motor. The system has a stated combined output of 830 kW and is paired with a 47.14 kWh battery. Geely lists an electric range of 305 km and a combined range of 1,770 km. The vehicle supports 6C fast charging, with a claimed charging time of 10 minutes to increase the battery's state of charge from 10% to 80%.
Chassis and handling
The chassis combines a mechanical differential lock with dual-chamber closed air suspension and CCD continuously variable damping shock absorbers. The SUV also supports a "waltz turn" function and agile steering, with a minimum turning radius of 3.36 meters.
Safety
Safety features include active emergency steering (AES), post-collision stability control, high-speed tire-blowout stability control, emergency flotation for escape, a campsite sentry mode and satellite communications. The vehicle is equipped with seven airbags.
