Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Geely Holding Group on January 9 released its full-year sales results for 2025, reporting total sales of 4.12 million vehicles, up 26% year on year. New energy vehicles (NEVs) accounted for 2.29 million units, a surge of 58% from a year earlier, lifting the group's NEV penetration rate to 56%.

The results marked the first time Geely Holding's annual sales exceeded four million vehicles and capped five consecutive years of rapid expansion.
Geely Automobile Holdings, the group's core listed arm, sold 3.02 million vehicles during the year, representing 39% year-on-year jump. NEV sales nearly doubled to 1,687,767 units, surpassing the company's annual target and underscoring the accelerating shift toward electrification.
Brand-level performance highlighted sharp differentiation within the portfolio. The Geely Galaxy lineup posted annual sales of 1.24 million units, up 150% over a year ago, achieving its “million-unit Galaxy” milestone ahead of schedule. Lynk & Co exceeded 350,000 units for the year, growing 23% from a year earlier. Premium EV brand ZEEKR sold nearly 224,000 vehicles, with December deliveries alone surpassing 30,000 units; its flagship ZEEKR 9X emerged as the top seller in China's large SUV segment priced above 500,000 yuan.
Geely's China Star series maintained resilience amid a competitive market, with annual sales topping 1.21 million units, up 3% year on year and marking a third consecutive year above the million-unit threshold. Volvo Cars reported global sales of 710,042 vehicles, with NEV models accounting for 323,294 units, lifting its NEV penetration to 46%. PROTON sold 162,601 vehicles across 2025, up 6.5% from the previous year, and is expected to see its market share in Malaysia rise to 19.4%.
Polestar recorded annual sales of more than 60,000 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of over 30%, while unveiling its new high-performance GT model, the Polestar 5, as it continues to expand its global footprint.
Lotus Cars reported a 30% year-on-year rise in China sales for its ELETRE electric SUV, signaling a new phase in which China plays a central role in the brand's growth strategy.
In the commercial vehicle segment, Farizon sold 162,019 units last year. Its cumulative sales exceeded 500,000 units, while overseas business expanded by nearly 500% year on year.
