Gasgoo Munich- Geely Holding Group reported on July 15 that total sales for the first half of 2026 climbed to 1.93 million units — an all-time high for the period. New-energy vehicle sales reached 1.1 million units, up 10% from a year earlier, lifting the NEV penetration rate to 56.9%.

Geely Auto, the group's listed arm, sold 1.42 million vehicles in the first half, with 799,454 units being NEVs — a 56% penetration rate. Overseas exports surged 158% year-on-year to 474,228 units, already surpassing the full-year total for 2025. June marked a milestone, with monthly exports breaking the 100,000-unit barrier for the first time to hit 102,874. New-energy models accounted for 58% of those exports, with shipments jumping 585% to 277,189 units.
Breaking it down by brand, the Geely China Star series moved 581,000 units, securing the top spot in sales for domestic internal combustion engine vehicles. The Geely Galaxy lineup contributed 520,000 units, driven by steady performance across key models. Lynk & Co delivered 144,000 vehicles, with 65% being new-energy models. ZEEKR, meanwhile, led growth among luxury electric brands with a 97% surge to 178,000 deliveries. Volvo Cars reported global sales of 325,000 units, including 161,000 NEVs — up 3.8% — for a 50% penetration rate. Polestar also hit a record, selling 30,400 vehicles in the first half.
On the commercial vehicle and joint venture front, Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group sold 88,000 units, a 41.3% increase, with its overseas exports ranking first in the industry. Proton delivered 100,300 vehicles, up 39.1%, marking its best half-year performance since 2011.
