Geely Group only fulfilled 20% of its annual sales goal in the first four months of 2007, company sources said recently. As total car sales were far below the 290,000 target Geely set earlier, Geely readjusted the final goal to 180,000 units this year, already 1,000 units lower than the previous year.
The Hong Kong-listed carmaker sold 3,655 vehicle units in May and a total of around 6,000 units from January to May, according to sources.
