Gasgoo.com (Shanghai March 14) - Geely sold 39,096 vehicles this past month, money.163.com reported today, quoting the manufacturer's recently released monthly performance report. The sales figure is about 22.9 percent higher than last February's result, and is 2.6 percent higher than the previous month's.
According to statistics, the manufacturer sold a total of 77,196 vehicles in the first two months of the year, a number very close to its combined sales amount for January and February of 2011.
Among the manufacturer's three subsidiary brands, the high-end Emgrand was the only one to grow in February with a year-on-year sales increase rate of 64 percent. A total of 23,917 Emgrand vehicles were sold. Monthly sales of the other two brands, Englon and Gleagle, totaled 24,859 and 28,420 vehicles, respectively, falling seven percent and 27 percent from last February.
