Shanghai, April 8 (Gasgoo.com) Geely Auto, a Chinese-brand carmaker based in Zhejiang province, plans to assemble MK-2 and CK-2 sedans at Ukrain starting this July.
The two Geely car models will be produced at Kremenchugsky Avtosborochny Zavod (KrASZ), the Ukrainian assembler of AvtoVAZ, Ssangyong Motor Co and China's First Auto Works Group Corp (FAW Group).
KrASZ's General Manager Nikolay Chernysh says the auto maker is testing the two car models currently and will start the assembly of the cars by July.
KrASZ started to assemble Geely CK sedans from semi-knocked-down kits sourced from China back in 2007.
Geely ranks as the second best-selling brand in Ukraine after selling 1,437 units this January. The top selling car at Ukrainian market is Lada brand from Russia's AvtoVAZ.
