The Geely Automobile Xiangtan base, situated in the Jiuhua economic zone, Xiangtan City, is the fifth production base of Geely Group, according to sources. The base was completed on December 25, 2006 put into operation, with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units.
The Xiangtan base will enter its second phase,construction in 2008. The company forecast its annual output to reach 100,000 units by 2010 and 200,000 units by 2015.
