Among them, the new XT5 PHEV launched in September is the highlight. The plug-in hybrid has become Cadillac's top-selling model in China since its debut, outselling all other new-energy and internal-combustion models in the brand's lineup, according to Steve Roxburgh, GM senior vice president and president of China and Asia.
Built on a locally developed architecture, the XT5 PHEV is equipped with Momenta's R7 world model, supporting advanced driver-assistance features upon delivery. The three-row VISTIQ EV on display also uses an ADAS co-developed with Momenta, employing a hidden in-cabin LiDAR setup.
Cadillac has served over 2.1 million Chinese customers since entering the market in 2004. Recently, the brand has accelerated local R&D and its shift toward intelligent electrification, blending GM's global engineering backbone with Chinese autonomous-driving technology and digital ecosystems.
