Gasgoo Munich- GLB Technology (Yibin) Co., Ltd. has hit a new milestone in its brake assembly business, with monthly shipments topping 10,000 sets, or 40,000 individual units. The output spans two major categories: front brake assemblies and Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) assemblies.

As demand for complete vehicle parts continues to heat up, GLB is seeing a surge in brake assembly orders, with bulk contracts landing in rapid succession. Against this backdrop, the Yibin base’s fully automated production lines — following process iterations and capacity optimization — have entered a phase of high, stable output. Both capacity and quality control metrics are now up to standard, giving the facility the ability to handle large-volume orders and ensure steady deliveries.
On the manufacturing floor, the Yibin base currently operates two fully automated brake assembly lines. The lines employ KUKA six-axis robots to handle the picking, positioning, and standardized assembly of core components. Paired with Atlas high-precision tightening tools and Keyence vision inspection systems, the setup creates an intelligent closed-loop process covering assembly, tightening, inspection, and data traceability — minimizing errors caused by human intervention.
Notably, the lines were designed with Electro-Mechanical Braking (EMB) production in mind. They are capable of meeting the standardized, mass-production requirements for both front brake assemblies and EPB assemblies, providing the manufacturing foundation needed for the iteration and commercial rollout of EMB technology.
In terms of quality control, the facility has deployed precision inspection equipment, including Zeiss coordinate measuring machines and Serein 2D image measuring instruments, to ensure incoming material quality from the source. The production line performs 100% inspection and verification on key metrics — such as brake disc end-face runout, assembly drag torque, ABS Hall signals, and caliper high/low-pressure and vacuum performance. Additionally, a 3D vision system is used for comprehensive offline inspections to eliminate product defects.
Looking ahead, capacity expansion plans call for a third fully automated brake assembly line to come online in the fourth quarter of 2026. Once the project reaches full capacity, the Yibin base’s monthly output is projected to climb to 25,000 sets, or 100,000 individual units — a leap forward in mass-production capabilities.
