Great Wall Motor August Sales Reach 113,400 Units, Global Cumulative Sales Break 17 Million

Gasgoo Munich- GWM recently released its sales data for August. The automaker sold 113,396 new vehicles during the month — a 4.93% increase from July. Cumulative sales for the first eight months of the year reached 805,358 units, up 1.98% year-on-year, pushing global cumulative sales past the 17 million mark.

By brand, Haval remained the primary driver, selling 64,960 units in August for a 15.44% monthly gain. On the product front, the GWM H10 officially launched this month with a limited-time trade-in price starting at 201,800 yuan, notching 10,178 deliveries in its debut month. The GWM H9 Lihun Edition was released simultaneously, starting at 214,900 yuan. Meanwhile, the GWM Raptor PLUS and the Haval Big Dog lineup continued to see strong demand.

Wey sold 7,367 units in August, bringing its global cumulative sales to 757,000 vehicles. The Wey V8X hit the market in August with a limited-time price starting at 226,800 yuan, featuring a top-tier 2.0T Super Hi4 powertrain and a Super Smart Chassis, alongside a dual VLA native AI cockpit driving agent.

Tank SUV sales reached 17,737 units in August, edging up 2.95%, as interest in the all-new Tank 300 continues to build.

ORA posted significant growth in August, selling 11,018 new vehicles — a 110.95% surge from the previous year. The ORA 5 GT and ORA 5 Sport Edition officially launched on August 28, with limited-time trade-in prices starting at 89,800 yuan and 71,800 yuan, respectively.

GWM's pickup division moved 12,288 units in August, with overseas sales accounting for 6,518 of that total. The Commercial Poer Hi4-T Pilot Edition and Passenger Poer Hi4-T Black Knight Edition debuted this month, priced from 151,800 yuan and 178,800 yuan, respectively. Pre-orders also opened for the Poer Hi4-T Light Journey Co-creation Edition and a double-cab pop-top RV.

From a structural perspective, GWM's overseas sales jumped 38.42% year-on-year in August, while new energy vehicle sales rose 8.55%. On the international front, the automaker has continued to expand its footprint in Indonesia, Chile, Pakistan, and Australia, deepening its global presence.
