Great Wall Motor Sees Modest Sales Rebound in Off-Season, Overseas Surge Continues

Gasgoo Munich-On August 2 that Great Wall Motor released its July production and sales figures. The company sold 108,067 new vehicles last month, a modest 3.54% increase year-over-year. From January to July, cumulative sales reached 691,962 units, up 2.64% from the same period last year, keeping both monthly and cumulative sales in positive territory.

Breaking down the data, overseas markets became the main growth driver. July exports surged 50.93% year-on-year, while new energy vehicle sales rose steadily, creating a dual-drive momentum across domestic and international markets.

Haval sold 56,272 units, accounting for the brand's main sales volume. The new H10 started pre-orders in July with a limited-time starting price of 214,800 yuan, accumulating 22,615 orders within 12 hours. The Haval Big Dog and Raptor PLUS continued to lead their respective segments.

Wey brand sales climbed 7.43% month-over-month to 7,725 units in July. The V9X Family Edition officially launched, while the V8X opened for reservations. The Gaoshan MPV ranked first in the first-half sales chart for new energy MPVs, consolidating its position in the high-end family and business segment.

Tank SUV sales hit 17,228 units, a 9.64% monthly increase. The all-new Tank 300 officially launched with a starting price of 199,800 yuan, offering two plug-in hybrid options and full-scenario NOA intelligent driving, with an extended wheelbase designed to balance off-road performance and family practicality.

Ora posted the fastest growth, with July sales rising 151.63% year-over-year to 10,820 units. The Ora 5 received its second OTA upgrade, while multiple new models—including the GT, Sport Edition, and a hybrid variant—made their debut.

Great Wall Pickup sales rose 16.22% year-over-year to 16,006 units in July. The Poer series hosted user appreciation events across multiple regions, and the owner community continued to expand. The brand also actively participated in public relief efforts—transporting supplies and clearing roads in flood-stricken areas—extending the social utility of its pickup trucks.


Great Wall's globalization strategy achieved solid results in July. The company hosted "Global Exploration Day 2026," bringing investors from six continents to tour its R&D and manufacturing systems, resulting in signed cooperation agreements.

The pace of product exports accelerated accordingly. The Ora 5 launched in Australia, South Africa, and Uruguay, with test drives underway across several European countries. The Haval Raptor PHEV started production in Uzbekistan as part of localized manufacturing. Meanwhile, Tank and Poer organized long-distance off-road events for owners and sponsored major local festivals in Kazakhstan, building overseas user communities and elevating global brand awareness.
