Gasgoo Munich-Great Wall Motor released its April production and sales report on May 5, according to Gasgoo. The automaker sold 106,312 units last month, a 6.25% increase from a year earlier, while production climbed 14.70% to 118,417 units. For the first four months of the year, cumulative sales reached 375,416 units — up 5.20% — and production totaled 396,183 units, a 9.84% rise.

Breaking it down by brand, Haval moved 60,330 units in April, edging up 6.31%. WEY led the pack with a 65.56% surge to 7,965 units, while Ora’s sales more than doubled, jumping 106.79% to 3,716 units. Meanwhile, Tank sales slipped 11.38% to 17,016 units, and GWM Pickup sales fell slightly by 2.51% to 17,061 units.

On the production front, WEY and Ora also posted significant gains, climbing 73.65% and 192.35%, respectively.
Overseas markets and new-energy vehicles have emerged as key growth drivers. Great Wall Motor sold 50,475 vehicles abroad in April, bringing its four-month total to 180,570 units. New-energy vehicle sales hit 26,898 for the month and 79,528 year-to-date, providing steady support for the overall volume.
The rapid expansion of WEY and Ora underscores Great Wall Motor’s progress in its shift toward high-end and electric offerings, while stable performance overseas has added resilience to its growth. As the company continues to roll out new models, it is poised to further consolidate its market position.
