Gasgoo.com (Shanghai January 24) - Great Wall Motors, China's leading SUV manufacturer and one of the country's largest automakers, announced its 2011 sales strategy last week. The company hopes to sell 55,000 to 60,000 vehicles, with 8,000 of those sales being exports.
In order to achieve its sales goal, the company will be introducing several new models this year, including the Haval M3, Haval H6 (pictured) and two other Haval SUVs, as well as five new Voleex sedans and a redesigned Wingle truck.
Out of its upcoming models, Great Wall will be putting most of its effort behind the Haval M3, a fashionable compact crossover equipped with an all-aluminum 1.5L VVT engine, the Haval H6 mid to high-end city SUV, and the Voleex C50 sedan, outfitted with a 1.5L turbocharged engine.
Great Wall was one of last year's fastest growing brands with sales of 397,300 units, signifying an increase of 77% from 2009. Among the company's lineup, the Haval series of SUVs was most successful with sales of 150,000 vehicles, an increase of 109.5% from the previous year. The company's Voleex sedans and Wingle trucks also showed considerable yearly growth rates of 73.1% and 46%, respectively.
