Official images suggest the car is the coupe‑style fastback teased earlier, fitted with a roof‑mounted lidar, an intelligent‑driving blue light, and semi‑flush door handles.
SAIC is an intelligent‑vehicle brand jointly developed by SAIC Group and Huawei — the fifth "jie" marque under Harmony lntelligent Mobility Alliance — built through Huawei's Smart Selection model. Yu Chengdong, a Huawei executive director who chairs the Terminal BG and heads the product investment committee, has said SAIC will launch two new models this year, including a premium coupe he calls Harmony lntelligent Mobility Alliance's most stylish design.
For now, the SAIC lineup has just one model on sale: the SAIC H5, a midsize SUV. It officially went on the market on Sept. 23, 2025, priced at 159,800–199,800 CNY.
The H5 is developed from SAIC's Roewe ES39, and runs Huawei's smart cockpit and intelligent‑driving system on SAIC's Nebula pure‑electric platform. The exterior features a closed‑off front fascia with the brand's latest badge mounted at the center, a roof lidar, an illuminated emblem and the intelligent‑driving blue light; paint choices include Cloud Blue, Midsummer Purple, Elegant Cyan, Ceramic White, Moonrock Gray and Gilded Black.
Inside, the H5 uses a wraparound cabin layout with a 10.25‑inch digital cluster and a 15.6‑inch center display, designed for simple operation and crisp visuals. For space and safety, it employs a high‑strength body and an all‑round anti‑collision system; the trunk holds 601 liters, while pure‑electric versions add a 124‑liter front trunk. A 2.3‑square‑meter panoramic roof is standard, complete with a powered sunshade.
In terms of tech, all H5 variants come standard with the HarmonyOS cockpit supporting facial recognition and voice interaction. The vehicle also adopts the HUAWEI XMOTION digital chassis engine, tapping SAIC's 70 years of chassis development experience.
Powertrain options include range‑extender and pure‑electric. The pure‑electric H5 uses a rear single motor with two outputs — 150 kW or 180 kW. Depending on configuration, it pairs with a 64.6 kWh LFP pack or an 80 kWh ternary lithium pack, for CLTC ranges of 525 km, 535 km, 640 km or 655 km. The range‑extender variant employs SAIC's DMH 1.5‑liter engine dedicated to range extension, a 32.6 kWh battery, and a CLTC electric‑only range of 235 km.
