The official images reveal a vehicle that adopts XPENG’s latest family design language—clean lines that convey a sense of stability and authority. Up front, the GX features a signature continuous light bar, an aggressive front bumper, and dynamic air intakes.

Discussing the rationale behind the new model, He Xiaopeng pointed to extensive user research that identified persistent flaws in current three-row SUVs: third-row discomfort, insufficient cargo space when fully loaded, and unwieldy handling. These issues create an "impossible triangle" where comfort, space, and maneuverability rarely coexist, forcing families to compromise before every trip. XPENG launched the development of its large six-seat SUV to address these core needs.

According to He Xiaopeng, the model’s development codename is G01. The "1" signifies a return to "first principles," using a holistic AI mindset to redesign a full-size family flagship SUV. As the vehicle prepares to reach thousands of households, it arrives with a new name: XPENG GX. The "X" stands for the exploration of unknown possibilities in mobility, as well as the tech DNA embedded in XPENG’s identity—using technology to fundamentally solve problems.

He Xiaopeng further revealed that the GX is built on the new SEPA 3.0 physical AI vehicle architecture. Through system-wide innovation, it leads a generation in integration, intelligence, handling, and safety philosophy. Additionally, the GX utilizes an AI chassis featuring steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering to shatter the stereotype that large vehicles are difficult to drive. Its agility and stability surpass traditional large SUVs, making it suitable for everything from city commutes to family road trips.

Concluding his remarks, He Xiaopeng stated that as an AI luxury flagship SUV, the GX’s mission is to create a mobile space defined by luxury comfort, futuristic technology, and ultimate safety. He looks forward to seeing families take the wheel of the XPENG GX in the coming months to explore horizons far beyond.
