Listed on both the Nasdaq and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Hesai is a global LiDAR supplier. The ATX Refreshed at the heart of this deal is a compact, high-performance, long-range sensor designed for assisted driving. Since mass production began in the first quarter of 2025, the platform has been integrated into numerous models, surpassing 1 million cumulative deliveries. Hesai unveiled the refreshed ATX in November 2025 and has since secured over 4 million orders from leading global automakers; production for this updated version is expected to kick off in April 2026.
On a broader scale, Hesai has secured production designations for over 160 models across 40 automotive brands, covering the top ten best-selling brands in China. Notably, the company has also locked in designations for the full 2026 lineups of its two largest ADAS customers.
BAIC Group, a pillar of China's automotive sector with a complete industrial chain, was an early mover in autonomous driving. In December 2025, the company received regulatory approval for autonomous products from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, launching pilot programs for L3 road driving. This milestone marks BAIC's shift from technical verification to mass-market application.
This partnership underscores the growing recognition of Hesai's technical prowess and market competitiveness among automakers. Looking ahead, Hesai plans to leverage its R&D and manufacturing capabilities to provide BAIC with advanced perception support, working together to elevate the smart mobility experience.
