Honor unveiled its new "robot phone," the Robot Phone, at MWC 2026 back in March. The device's most striking feature is a massive, motorized flip-up camera, positioning it as a new form of embodied AI terminal.
Visually, the Robot Phone sports a brushed silver-gray finish. It resembles a standard smartphone, save for a 3-axis gimbal camera atop the device that bears a resemblance to DJI's Osmo Pocket. An "α" logo on the back further underscores its unique status.
On the spec sheet, that top-mounted gimbal houses a 200-megapixel sensor capable of flipping forward or backward for selfies or subject capture. Bolstered by technology from imaging giant ARRI, it supports AI object tracking, AI video editing, and smart shooting. Real-time perception and compensation ensure exceptionally stable footage.
At a global launch event during MWC 2026, Honor announced a strategic technical partnership with premier cinema camera manufacturer ARRI. The collaboration will debut first in the Robot Phone, aiming to fuse Honor's mobile imaging capabilities with ARRI's century-old cinematography heritage.
