Huatai Automobile's project to churn out one million units of diesel powered sedan has been finalized. This project will be based in Ordos City, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and it is expected to be completed in three phases. The annual output is expected to be 300,000 units initially and gradually increased to reach its goal of one million unit production in 2010. This is Huatai Automobile's first entry into the sedan market.
According to reports, Huatai Automobile's world leading technology - electronically controlled diesel fuel injection, has been applied successfully on its models. Currently only several auto giants such as VW, BMW etc own this technology The 1.6L sedans fitted with this technology has also successfully met the Euro III emission and European IV standards.
