Gasgoo Munich- Huayu Automotive Systems officially released its 2026 third-quarter results on October 29. Consolidated figures show revenue of 129.468 billion yuan for the first nine months of the year — a 1.73% decline from a year earlier. Net profit attributable to shareholders came in at 4.334 billion yuan, sliding 7.81% over the same period.

Notably, the drop in net profit outpaced the revenue decline by more than 6 percentage points. While the top line contracted only slightly, the bottom line came under far greater pressure. This indicates the company may be grappling with rising costs, pricing headwinds, and structural shifts in its business.
Industry-wide, auto-parts suppliers are navigating a prolonged transition. Intensifying competition among automakers is forcing supply chains to cut costs, leaving parts makers under relentless pressure to accept annual price reductions. At the same time, the shift toward electrification and smart vehicles demands heavier R&D spending. Caught in this double squeeze, profit margins are thinning across the board. Huayu Automotive's third-quarter trajectory, in many ways, mirrors this broader industry struggle.
Going forward, the market will zero in on two questions. First, can Huayu Automotive sharpen its product mix and tighten cost controls enough to lift margins and reverse the gap between profit and revenue declines? Second, can the expansion of its new-energy and smart-vehicle businesses generate fresh growth, offsetting the drag from its legacy operations?
