Gasgoo Munich- On Nov. 5, Huilun Technology — a startup incubated by GAC Group — signed a production cooperation agreement for embodied intelligent robots with the GAC Powertrain Business Unit (GAC Powertrain BU).
The deal formalizes a strategic framework pact signed on June 25, with a clear target: scaling up to mass production in the tens of thousands.
Under the division of labor, Huilun Technology will supply the complete technical architecture, process specifications, and full production materials. GAC Powertrain BU, meanwhile, will handle final assembly, performance testing, and delivery — together, they will build a standardized production line capable of churning out 10,000 units.
In short, it's a full-chain contract manufacturing arrangement: Huilun dictates "how to design," while GAC Powertrain BU ensures "how to build it reliably."

The industry consensus holds that building cars and robots share deep similarities in perception, electric drive, battery systems, and computing power. Automakers bring precisely what robotics firms lack: mature assembly processes, end-to-end quality control, and robust supply chain management. Plugging robots into automotive-grade production lines should resolve the consistency and stability challenges of high-volume delivery — a hurdle easily ignored during prototyping, but unavoidable at scale.
The partners also plan to deploy Huilun's robots inside GAC Powertrain BU's own factories first. By putting the machines to work in assembly and material handling, they aim to boost automation rates, cut costs, and lift efficiency.
Backed by GAC Group as a core incubation project focused on embodied AI robotics, Huilun Technology has already rolled out several models, including the GoMate and GoMate Mini.
Huilun's fourth-generation wheeled-legged GoMate Mini, in particular, has nearly 50 units already deployed across Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Xiamen, and Tianjin. The robots span seven use cases — from auto assembly lines and campus security to subway screening — with the longest-running project operating continuously for 12 months and securing orders nearing 10 million yuan.
