Per the cooperation, the NVIDIA DRIVE™ Orin will be deployed as the core intelligent driving computing chip in Human Horizon’s next-generation HiPhi Pilot system, providing redundant and safe intelligent driving features for HiPhi users.
Specifically, the chip will be applied to HiPhi’s second production model, the HiPhi Z. As a luxury electric vehicle, the HiPhi Z is equipped with powerful intelligent driving assistance functions. By virtue of NVIDIA DRIVE™ Orin's powerful AI computing power and 32 sensors, the HiPhi Z adopts backup design in the six systems of perception, computing, communication, braking, steering, and power supply to create an aviation-level multi-dimensional intelligent driving assistance system with double redundancy and safety.
As the first GT sedan model of the startup, the HiPhi Z officially hit the market at the Chengdu Motor Show 2022, on August 26th. Coming with two seating options, the four-seater HiPhi Z is priced at 630,000 yuan ($91,880) while the five-seater trim is priced at 610,000 yuan ($88,965). The model is scheduled for delivery by the end of 2022.
