SEOUL, South Korea -- Hyundai Motor Co.-affiliate Hyundai Mobis Co. said Thursday that it will invest $78.1 million in an auto parts plant in the U.S. to supply vehicles to be made by fellow Hyundai affiliate Kia Motors Corp.
The plant will supply parts modules to a $1 billion Kia factory under construction in Georgia, Hyundai Mobis said.
"Hyundai Mobis will supply 300,000 units a year of front-end, chassis and cockpit modules to Kia's automobile plant," the parts maker said in a regulatory filing.
