Gasgoo Munich- On September 10, the all-new IM LS6 officially kicked off pre-sales, launching three trims: the Max, Pro Max, and Ultra. Pre-sale prices range from 209,900 to 264,900 yuan.

As the first production model under IM's "NEXT·2028" strategy, the new car is positioned as a "fully steer-by-wire large five-seat family SUV." It brings standard features like a steer-by-wire chassis, an 800V high-voltage platform, and advanced intelligent driving down to the 200,000-yuan market. Within 45 minutes of pre-sales opening, early orders surpassed 8,000 units—an initial signal from the market.
Steer-by-Wire Chassis Brought Down to the 200,000-Yuan Segment
The core highlight of this generation is the chassis.
The all-new LS6 comes standard with the Lizard Digital Chassis, featuring steer-by-wire for both front and rear wheels, along with Continental's MK C2 brake-by-wire system. The mechanical hard connection between the steering wheel and front wheels is eliminated entirely; steering commands are converted into electrical signals and executed uniformly by the system.

The system employs dual power, dual communication, and dual hardware redundancy, while retaining rear-wheel steering as a third layer. If the front steering link fails, the rear wheels can intervene to help decelerate and park the vehicle, targeting a reliability standard of 10FIT—aviation-grade safety.
According to the company, it is the first mass-produced steer-by-wire product certified by the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC). The chassis also earned CATARC's "2026 China Top 10 Chassis" and "Best Innovation" awards.
The practical benefits are immediate. Despite being a large SUV measuring 4,937mm in length with a 2,960mm wheelbase, the four-wheel steering system—offering up to 18 degrees of articulation—delivers a minimum turning radius of just 4.49 meters. A U-turn can be done with half a turn of the wheel, and the steering ratio offers three settings: 180°, 240°, and 503°.
The suspension uses a double wishbone front and multi-link rear layout. Higher trims offer air suspension with 70mm of travel and electronically controlled dampers that respond in 10 milliseconds, providing damping force adjustments up to 6.5 times wider than standard.
On the electrification front, the entire lineup features a full-domain 800V high-voltage platform, paired with NEO hurricane motors and the Efficiency Master Management System 3.0. Energy consumption is rated at 12.7 kWh per 100 km, costing roughly 0.04 yuan per kilometer. It supports 396 kW ultra-fast charging, adding 500 km of range in 15 minutes, and is compatible with over 90% of charging piles on the market.
Battery packs come in three options—76 kWh, 93 kWh, and 103 kWh—delivering CLTC ranges of 650 km, 782 km, and 750 km respectively. For low-temperature stability, charging remains stable even at -20°C, while battery safety meets PPB-level aviation standards.

For intelligent driving, the IM AD ZETA system empowers L2 driver assistance with L4-level model capabilities. It fully adapts Momenta's physical AI world model, supporting map-free NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) nationwide. The full suite of IM AD advanced driver-assistance features is free for a limited time during pre-sales.
The cabin debuts the IM Claw intelligent agent, supporting fuzzy semantic recognition and chain-task execution. It can handle continuous operations like setting navigation, adjusting cabin scenes, and parking assistance in one go, with future plans to integrate Alibaba's AI ecosystem.
Comfort Configuration Maxed Out
Inside, the changes to the all-new LS6 are more pronounced than on the exterior. The cabin adopts a wraparound layout, offered in Knight Black and Elephant Grey. The headliner now uses ultra-fine soft suede, replacing the old fabric material, significantly elevating both tactile feel and visual class.
Soft materials cover the dashboard and door panels, while chrome trim has been upgraded from silver to champagne gold or rose gold. Seat stitching has been redesigned, pushing the overall sense of luxury a step above the previous model.
As for screens, the 27.1-inch 5K MiniLED central dual screen and 15.6-inch 3K MiniLED passenger entertainment screen remain, running on the AIOS 1.0 interaction system. The steering wheel supports four-way electric adjustment and three-stage heating.
Comfort features are a major focus of this upgrade. Ventilation, heating, and massage are standard across all seats without extra cost. The driver's seat features 4D mechanical massage with physical massage nodes, delivering intensity seven times that of traditional pneumatic massage, supporting techniques like kneading and tapping.

The passenger seat is a "super right-row" first-class chair, offering three modes: zero gravity, recliner, and forward fold. The zero-gravity angle is set at 121°, equipped with an electric leg rest, allowing one-click switching for resting, watching shows, or tending to rear passengers.
Rear seatbacks offer up to 131° of continuous electric adjustment. Head, leg, and shoulder room figures for front and rear rows are generous for the class.
A Danish B&O premium audio system comes standard across the lineup, featuring 16 speakers and 3,036W of power, tuned by B&O's team. An 11-liter intelligent dual-door fridge is also standard, supporting cooling from -6°C to 15°C and heating from 35°C to 50°C, accessible from front or rear. Additionally, the cabin offers nearly 30 storage spaces and a 105-liter front trunk (frunk) to accommodate family travel essentials.
In terms of power, the Max trim sports a 76 kWh battery and a 245 kW rear motor for 650 km of range and a 0-100 km/h time of 6.4 seconds. The Pro Max upgrades to a 93 kWh battery and 300 kW rear motor, extending range to 782 km and cutting acceleration to 5.4 seconds. The Ultra trim packs a 103 kWh battery with dual motors (200 kW front, 300 kW rear) for all-wheel drive, totaling 500 kW. It hits 100 km/h in 3.48 seconds with a 750 km range.
Old Model Stands as Sales Pillar; New Model Kicks Off Growth Cycle
The IM LS6 is indisputably the sales backbone of IM Motors.
In 2025, IM Motors delivered over 80,000 units cumulatively. The LS6 alone contributed more than 60% of the brand's total deliveries, serving as the core engine for growth.
Within the segment, the LS6 ranked 9th in annual sales for mid-to-large SUVs. For a brand like IM, which is in a phase of moving upmarket, this result demonstrates the LS6's solid competitive edge in the 200,000-yuan large five-seat SUV arena.
The LS6's central role in the lineup also shows that IM has established a solid user base in this market. IM has set its 2026 target between 110,000 and 130,000 vehicles, signaling confidence in its growth and product cycle. Driven by this goal, the market performance of the all-new LS6 will provide crucial support for the brand's annual growth.

The upgrade logic for the new LS6 is clear: consolidate technologies like steer-by-wire chassis, 800V high voltage, and advanced driving—previously scattered across different price points—into standard features. By entering the 200,000-yuan family SUV market with a "no weak points" strategy, the 8,000 early orders in 45 minutes suggest the market is responding positively to its technical value and sincerity.
As new technologies like steer-by-wire build reputation among users and the 200,000-yuan SUV segment continues to expand, the all-new LS6 is poised to maintain its pre-sales momentum. Converting orders into steady deliveries will inject strong momentum into IM's annual growth.
For IM, this car carries not just the mission of product iteration, but is a crucial step in establishing a technical benchmark and expanding market influence in the mainstream price band.
