On the product front, IM kicked off pre-sales for its new SUV, the LS8, on March 26. Positioned as a next-generation tech flagship, the model offers both five- and six-seat configurations, with pre-sale prices ranging from 259,800 to 309,800 yuan. According to the company, pre-orders topped 10,000 units within the first 45 minutes. IM emphasized that the LS8 integrates SAIC Motor's cutting-edge technology, highlighting its driving dynamics, smart features, family-friendly design, and range-extender system. The goal is to provide a one-stop flagship solution for discerning families.
On the technology front, IM unveiled the industry's first "super intelligent agent," dubbed IM Ultra Agent, on March 18, announcing it as the first globally to feature the Qianwen large model. Powered by three core innovations, this agent establishes IM Fusion Nova — a pioneering architecture that fuses the cabin and driving domains across the entire vehicle. The system reconstructs the wire-controlled chassis, autonomous driving AI, and cockpit AI at the foundational level, enabling the AI to interpret user intent and execute vehicle commands. This marks a significant step forward in human-machine interaction and execution capabilities for smart vehicles.
